QAL10-4-4: has stable mechanical properties below 400 , has good anti-friction, in the atmosphere, fresh water, seawater corrosion resistance is very good, can be hot working, welding, but not easy to braze.

Uses: high strength wear-resistant parts box working under 400 parts, such as bearings, bushing, gear, spherical seat, nuts, flanges and so on.

The effect of chemical composition

The influence of chemical composition on microstructure and properties of aluminum bronze has been one of the hot topics. First of all, there is no clear definition of the effect of chemical composition on alloy. If iron is added to aluminum bronze, it generally plays the role of refining grains, reducing "spontaneous tempering brittleness" and improving mechanical properties, but when the iron content is high, iron will precipitate with Fe3Al2 compounds, making the mechanical properties of the alloy deteriorate, so the iron content should not exceed 5%. There are zinc elements, many studies believe that it and the matrix metal after solid solution, can improve the plasticity of the metal, but there are also studies that it is an impurity element. Thus, the role of alloying elements can not be generalized. It is generally believed that adding appropriate alloying elements can improve the mechanical properties of alloys, such as adding appropriate amount of iron to form aluminum iron bronze, adding amount of manganese to form aluminum manganese bronze, adding amount of nickel to form aluminum nickel bronze. Strengthening

However, this supersaturated solid solution will decompose and precipitate the second phase at room temperature or higher temperature. Solution and aging are often used together to improve the properties of aluminum-bronze alloys.

Special

This mainly refers to aluminum bronze containing more than 11.5% aluminum and less than 15% aluminum. In addition to aluminum, the element composition is little different from that of ordinary aluminum bronze. Because of the difference in the amount of aluminum, special aluminum bronze has higher strength than alloy steel and close to the hardness of alloy steel. It is widely used in force structure parts, transmission parts, etc.
